Brodart offers over 1,500 popular K-12 titles in prebound library editions that are quality guaranteed and backed by more than 35 years of bookbinding experience. These prebound books are paperbacks that have been converted into hardcover editions specifically for the library or classroom setting. The reinforced library bindings conform to Library Binding Institute standards and are guaranteed for durability.

To create these reinforced library editions the original publisher bindings are replaced by double-fan adhesive or sewn bindings. Backlining cloth fabric covers the binding to add extra strength. The publisher’s cover art is digitally scanned and reprinted to create new cover sheets that are laminated and bound to hardback board. A strip of board strengthens the spine. The book and cover are joined by heavy endsheets.

If, during normal use, you are dissatisfied with the quality of material or workmanship, you may return any Brodart prebind to us for replacement or repair at any time.

The Benefits of Prebinds
Original cover art retains the volume’s original beauty.

More durable double-fan adhesive or sewn binding replaces the publisher’s original binding.

Acid-free binders board protects the book block.

Every book is printed with the title and author’s name on the spine — even if the book was originally stapled or had no spine text.

An inner spine strip adds an attractive, flat spine to every volume.

Poly-vinyl cover lamination protects and provides a wipe-clean surface.

Our quality guarantee insures your satisfaction.

By purchasing the prebound book you save money over buying the publisher’s original hardcover — if it’s available — and get a binding intended for heavy use.
